Support VAEE members and supporters in their Education for Sustainability (EfS) endeavours across the diversity of membership and partnership interests
To be a neutral and collaborative meeting place for brokering partnerships and other collaborations between practitioners and educators focused on achieving environmental sustainability: in educating for a sustainable future, through the development and promotion of skills, knowledge, understanding and action
To foster the incubation and dissemination of leading practice learning for change
To ensure that all voices are given the opportunity to be expressed in developing multi-sectoral responses and perspectives to meet the challenges of living sustainably, including ways to reverse negative impacts on water scarcity, biodiversity loss, waste build up and food security
To foster the debate about, and help develop, the most effective ways for education and learning based change to contribute to the challenges presented by climate change
To develop partnerships and affiliations with complementary organisations, and develop our relationship with the Australian Association for Environmental Education so that VAEE is an effective chapter of AAEE as well as a robust organisation in its own right
